Overview

ESUFC provides players with an opportunity to experience the sport of soccer at every level

The membership of ESUFC is approaching 4000 and currently employs a Technical Director, a Boys Director of Coaching, a Girls Director of Coaching, a Recreation Head Coach, an Administrator, Registrar and part-time administrative assistant. ESUFC is recognized as a premier club that is dedicated to and understands that the true value of long-term success comes through the development of both technical skills and team play over any individual game result. ESUFC provides a structure for thousands of children ages 5 – 18 to play soccer. EastSide is a Club that is organized along three individual but inter-related programs; Classic Program, Recreation Program and Camps/Clinics Program.

The purpose of ESUFC’s U5–U18 Recreation Program is to provide open participation to all children regardless of ability and to introduce young players and new coaches to the sport of soccer. Our fall and spring programs emphasize participation, enjoyment and fair & balanced competition. The benefits of soccer are numerous and not limited to the following: develop social skills, introduce technical skills, provide physical fitness, increase coordination, increase self esteem, provide an opportunity to work with peers, and to foster the life -long love of the game.

ESUFC Classic Program form teams through an open try-out system. Players try-out and are offered positions on a team if, in the opinion of the coaching staff and evaluators, the player meets the standard for ESUFC teams. It is the purpose of our Classic Program to provide higher levels of training and competition to those players of above average ability and level of commitment. Our Premier Soccer program provides an educational and competitive environment that consistently produces the some of the most mentally, physically, technically and tactically accomplished soccer players in Oregon, USYSA Region IV, and the nation. We prepare our players to be recognized by collegiate and Olympic Development Programs for their superior quality of play, knowledge and ability to articulate the game, sportsmanship, and passion for the sport. The Classic Program coaches are selected and paid for their services.

TOPSoccer Program. The ESUFC TOPSoccer program is for children with physical or mental disabilities. These are children that cannot participate and play with the majority of the kids. TOPSoccer provides children the opportunity to enjoy soccer and the thrill of playing a team sport. The Outreach Program for Soccer, TOPSoccer was formed by US Youth Soccer to further their goal "To foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of America's youth in soccer at all levels of age and competition". It also meets Oregon Youth Soccer's mission statement "To foster an environment that promotes the physical, mental, and emotional development of Oregon's youth through the sport of soccer".

Recreation Adult Leagues. This is a chance for adults to enjoy the sport of Soccer regardless of ability, and to introduce new players to the sport. ESUFC Adult Programs include Men’s and Coed 7v7 Leagues in the Fall, Winter and Spring and our Adult Coed Summer League.
