WELCOME TO EASTSIDE UNITED FC

ESUFC provides players with an opportunity to experience the sport of soccer at every level. Please click on the tab to the left or on the links below to find out more about these specific programs.

The membership of ESUFC is approaching 4000 and currently employs a Technical Director, Program Administrator, Financial Administrator, Recreation Head Coach, and a part-time assistant. ESUFC is recognized as a premier club that is dedicated to and understands that the true value of long-term success comes through the development of both technical skills and team play over any individual game result. ESUFC provides a structure for hundreds of children ages 4–18 to play soccer. EastSide United FC is a club organized along three individual but interrelated programs. The three programs are the Recreation Program, Classic  Program  and the Camps/Clinics Program.

RECREATION PROGRAM

ESUFC U5–U18 Recreation  The purpose of ESUFC’s U5–U18 Recreation program is to provide open participation to all children regardless of ability and to introduce young players and new coaches to the sport. Our fall and spring recreation programs emphasize participation, enjoyment and fair, balanced competition. The benefits of soccer are numerous and not limited to the following: develop social skills, introduce technical skills, provide physical fitness, increases coordination, increase self esteem, provide an opportunity to work with peers, and to foster the life -long love of the game.

ESUFC Recreation Adult League This is a chance for adults, regardless of ability, to enjoy the sport of soccer in a fun and friendly environment. All games are played on either the Gresham High School or the Sam Barlow turf fields.  ESUFC offers both Men’s Leagues (7v7) and Coed (7v7 and 11v11).

ESUFC TOPSoccer  ESUFC TOPSoccer is a free community based soccer program offered to children ages 4 and up with physical and/or mental disabilities. The players are paired up with volunteer “buddies” who interact with them through adapted games and activities which ensure the players learn at their own pace. TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer, was formed by US Youth Soccer to further their goal “To foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of America's youth in soccer at all levels of age and competition" and it also meets Oregon Youth Soccer's mission statement “To Foster an environment that promotes the physical, mental, and emotional development of Oregon's youth through the sport of soccer." TOPSoccer is a great opportunity for children with disabilities to enjoy and experience the thrill of playing a team sport.

ESUFC miniTots This introductory soccer class will provide young players, ages 3-5, an opportunity to discover soccer through clear demonstrations, substantial exercises, and appropriate games in a positive environment. The six-week session will provide players with the following: introduction to basic technical skills - dribbling, shooting, and passing; physical skills - coordination, balance, and fitness; and social interaction.

FUTURE STARS

The ESUFC Future Stars program is for boys and girls who love soccer and wish to learn more about the game. They learn to improve their ball skills and tactical awareness through coordination exercises, relays and games. We also introduce soccer specific dynamic (movement) stretching and ACL preventative training. Future Stars provides a safe, fun environment for the players to practice and play under the guidance of some of the finest coaches, trainers and teachers of the game in the state of Oregon.

CLASSIC PROGRAM

The ESUFC Classic Program forms teams through an open try out system. Players try out and are offered positions on a team if, in the opinion of the coaching staff and evaluators, the player meets the standard for ESUFC teams. It is the purpose of our Classic program to provide higher levels of training and competition to those players of above average ability and level of commitment. Our Premier Soccer program provides an educational and competitive environment that consistently produces some of the most mentally, physically, technically and tactically accomplished soccer players in Oregon, USYSA Region IV, and the nation. We prepare our players to be recognized by collegiate and Olympic Development Programs for their superior quality of play, knowledge and ability to articulate the game, sportsmanship, and passion for the sport. ESUFC’s qualified Classic Program coaches are selected and paid for their services.

CAMPS AND CLINICS

ESUFC Camps and Clinics ESUFC provides a multitude of camps and clinics throughout the year. ESUFC offers Winter Academy, Summer Camps, Spring Break Camp, Speed and Agility Series, Future Stars Academy and Team Camps. These individual programs, spaced throughout the year and with their own curriculum, are open to all soccer players regardless of club affiliation.
